ZYEL CRIER

(she/her/hers)
Executive Coordinator

Zyel Crier is the Executive Coordinator at Can’t Stop! Won’t Stop! Consulting, and is committed to working on initiatives that enhance quality of life. From a young age, she has dreamt of living in a world resembling Star Trek. This vision includes a society in which all people's needs are met, achieved through technological and social innovation leading to a Post-Scarcity Economy. In such a world, individuals would look beyond material gain and be motivated by personal purpose, with an emphasis on self-improvement, exploration, and contributing to the betterment of society.

Inspired by this vision, instilled by her 'comic book nerdy' parents, Zyel has embarked on a journey to build towards her ideals for the world and its people. Early in her career, while still figuring out how to translate her ideals into practical action, she was keenly aware of the basic realities of survival: she needed to eat, and she needed shelter. Thus, she graduated summa cum laude with a BS in Computer Science from the HBCU known as Xavier University of Louisiana. During her college career she had three main missions that served as the initial professional steps to actualizing her ideals:

First, she aimed to unify her department by organizing its resources to contextualize and simplify the available tools, enabling students to maximize their opportunities

Second, she leveraged internship opportunities to evaluate potential career alignments by thoroughly investigating company cultures and assessing their commitment to mission-driven initiatives.

Third, she prioritized graduating as quickly as possible, recognizing the expense of college, and completed her degree in three years.

As a professional, Zyel has had a diverse career path, ranging from Data Analyst and Membership Representative for a workforce solutions company, to Data Engineer and Consultant for a top-tier consulting firm, to Ballroom Dance Instructor, and then to a multidisciplinary professional Educator, ultimately landing as an Executive Coordinator. Her experience in data engineering and consulting has sharpened her analytical and problem-solving skills, while her work in education and mentorship has demonstrated her ability to guide and support others. Zyel is eager to apply her expertise to optimize processes and create systems that empower individuals and drive positive change. In her current role, she is prepared to supply and support the logistical efforts of visionaries who provide invaluable services to companies that foster a human-first culture.

Radical acceptance, the concept of fully acknowledging and accepting reality without judgment or resistance, is a principle Zyel embraces. She leverages and honors her experiences by being a woman dedicated to making choices that allow her to live in complete alignment with her values.

If you got an hour sitting next to anyone from any time, on a bench in a wooded park, who would it be, and what would you talk about?

As a Creole person born from the intermingling of the slaves and natives during the Congo Square gatherings In New Orleans I would love to meet one of my Ancestors and ask them If I truly am their wildest dreams.

You get to open a food truck. What kind of food do you make and sell?

Advice you would give to your younger self?

First, that you can adapt your behavior in certain situations but it doesn't have to change who you are. Trust your gut and your survival instincts because that trust will ground you in facts. Which will enable you to hold onto your inner peace rather than letting that be determined by others comfort level with your behavior/existence.

Second, Its okay to fail its okay to not know things but do know this IT IS NATURAL TO NOT KNOW EVERY ASPECT OF HOW THE PROCESS WILL LOOK LIKE ON YOUR WAY TO ACHIEVE A GOAL AND THATS OKAY IT IS PART OF THE JOURNEY! Embrace the ambiguity.
